In this post I will be reviewing the Advanced Scalper EA. This is an automated forex trading strategy that has been programmed to run in the popular forex trading platform, MetaTrader. You can download MetaTrader free of charge from most forex brokers. It is worth mentioning that you will need the desktop version of the MetaTrader platform in order to run forex robots.
You can load the Advanced Scalper EA onto the charts in your platform and it will constantly scan the forex market for trading signals using the built-in algorithm. When the expert advisor determines that there is an opportunity for trade, it can enter the market and manage the position on behalf of the user. Whilst this may seem like an attractive proposition for those who do not have the time or knowledge required to trade manually, there are some key advantages and disadvantages to be aware of.
In this Advanced Scalper EA Review, I will be taking a look at the automated forex trading strategy that it implements, along with any back tests provided by the developer and most importantly, real verified account results. Hopefully, this can help you to decide if this is a forex EA that you would consider using on your own forex account or not.
Advanced Scalper EA Trading Strategy
The Advanced Scalper EA is a professional trading robot that has been in development for many years. It uses very advanced exit-algorithms and has a build in spread-filter and slippage-control algorithms. It is fully customisable to suit the client’s needs and offers many setup possibilities.
The developer provides users with recommend currency pairs and default settings. They have also conveniently made the majority of the settings available as external inputs so that you can customise the Advanced Scalper expert advisor according to your own trading style.
You can of course use the default “out of the box” settings but you will at the very least need to check and make sure that the position size is set to a suitable level depending on your risk preferences because every trader is different in that respect.
In theory, the Advanced Scalper EA can be applied to any low spread market that has good liquidity, though the developer does recommend these currency pairs in particular: EUR/USD and USD/JPY. I tend to agree with them here as I find that major currency pairs have the lowest spreads which is very important when using a forex scalping EA.
This is because forex scalping strategies rely on small pip movements. If the spread, commission and slippage is too high, this can have a very negative impact on the overall results. I have seen the same scalping system give a completely different set of results on different brokers due to these factors alone. For the best possible trading conditions, I would look to use an ECN forex broker with deep liuqidity, quick execution and industry leading pricing.
The EA can be used in 2 ways (at the moment) but in the future, new entry-strategies and/or exit-strategies might be added to the EA, but only if they pass the developers strict quality control.
- Fully automatic trading, using a High/Low breakout system for entry calculations. This mode can be run on any timeframe, but for more secure entry points, the developer recommends using H1 or H4.
- As a tool for manual trading strategies, where the trader can pick the entry points, or in combination with other EA’s for setting the entry points, and the Advanced Scalper EA will use its advanced exit-algorithms to follow up those trades.
Advanced Scalper EA Features
- Strict use of stop loss on every trade
- Very advanced SL management
- Spread filter to try and avoid trading during bad market conditions
- Slippage control algorithm, to try and avoid bigger losses during heavy slippage
- Fully automatic mode, with adjustable entries
- Exit strategy can be used on any manual trade(s) or on trades from other EA’s
Advanced Scalper EA Back Testing
When it comes to choosing a forex robot, I like to check to make sure the developer has provided back tests that show how the forex expert advisor may have traded over a good amount of historical data across various currency pairs. This can help us to understand how the automated trading strategy works and performed over different market conditions. Of course, historical performance is by no means any guarantee of future results, but it can be a good way to get a rough idea of what we might expect.
The developer claims that the Advanced Scalper EA survives strict high quality backtests, with real variable spreads, commission and random slippage at 99% tick quality. These are very important conditions when back testing any forex trading robot, especially those that are so sensitive to the broker conditions such as this one.

Advanced Scalper EA Results
Whilst back tests are useful to some extent, the most important thing to look for in a forex robot in my opinion are real account results. This would enable us to see exactly how the Advanced Scalper EA has been performing through recent market conditions. That way you can determine if you are happy with the various statistics such as profit factor, drawdown, average win, average loss, trade duration, trading volume and more.
I was pleased to see that the MQL website has Advanced Scalper EA results covering a few years now. The trading looks to be stable, but I really do think that it is going to depend so much on the broker conditions. It may be that the Advanced Scalper EA needs to run on a specific broker to achieve similar results and the developer does say to contact them if you need help choosing a suitable broker. Advanced Scalper EA Summary
Advanced Scalper is the result of more than 15 years of studying markets and programming expert advisors. It uses very advanced exit-algorithms and has a build in spread-filter and slippage-control algorithms. It is fully customisable to suit the client’s needs and offers many setup possibilities. I do think it has some potentially but I am pretty sure that results are going to depend a lot on the trading account conditions.
To use the Advanced Scalper EA, you will need an account with a forex broker. With so many forex brokers to choose from nowadays, it can be had to decide which is the best forex broker for you. From my many years of experience in the forex industry, IC Markets are one of the best forex brokers when it comes to manual and automated trading. This is because they have tight spreads, low commission fees, reliable execution speeds, multiple funding options and excellent 24/7 customer support.
If you would like to give the Advanced Scalper EA a try, there is a free demo version. You could even run it on a demo trading account to get a feel for how it trades without taking any risk. I would always test a forex robot on a demo account to begin with. Just keep in mind that demo account results can differ compared to live accounts. This is due to factors that can be different between a simulated and real trading environment including liquidity, slippage and spreads.
